Hervé Guillou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DCNS, was nominated Chairman of CIDEF (Conseil des Industries de Défense Françaises – French Defence Industry Council). His priority for CIDEF will be to support the repute and development of a dynamic and competitive defence industry, both in France and worldwide.
CIDEF is an association bringing together the main French defence industry professional groupings: GIFAS (Association of French aeronautical and space industries), GICAT (Association of French terrestrial and aeroterrestrial defence and security industries) and GICAN (Association of naval-construction and naval-activity industries).
Hervé Guillou, vice-chairman of GICAN and now chairman of the CIDEF, takes over the position from Marwan Lahoud, Airbus Group Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, also chairman of GIFAS.
“It is an honour and a matter of pride for me to have been nominated chairman of CIDEF. The defence industry, which is a real asset at the service of the French economy, contributes to providing our armed forces with the means of independently ensuring the defence of our country. My priority will be to support the repute and development of a dynamic and competitive defence industry, both in France and worldwide, by highlighting the offerings and the know-how of all companies, both large and small, which constitute defence’s industrial and technological base”.
