The General Management Committee of Naval Energies has just appointed Laurent Schneider-Maunoury, 51, a graduate of Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, to replace Thierry Kalanquin. His mission is to accelerate the development and sustain the growth of Naval Energies.

Taking on the challenges of growth and leading the teams towards industrial leadership in marine energies.

Biography

An engineer by training, Laurent Schneider-Maunoury has a solid experience of company management both in France and internationally in cutting-edge technology sectors. He has held different management positions through which he acquired extensive experience managing relationship with company stakeholders and bringing together international teams. Laurent Schneider-Maunoury started his career within the PSA Group, then after being responsible for industrial development and special advisor to the Préfet of the Champagne-Ardenne Region, in 1996 he joined Safran where he held various senior positions. He was in particular appointed Manager of Snecma's Le Creusot plant, then from 2002 to 2005, COO at Messier-Dowty, world leader for aircraft undercarriage. Last but not least, from 2005 to 2010, he was appointed CEO of SLCA, a subsidiary of the Safran Group specialised in composite aerostructures. In 2011, he was appointed CEO of Saphymo, an international group specialised in radioactivity monitoring systems, for which he developed the order book, in particular by becoming a key partner in the domain of defence and security. In 2016, Laurent Schneider-Maunoury was appointed General Manager of Quantel, specialised in ophthalmological and industrial lasers, where he led the managerial and shareholder transition. Laurent Schneider-Maunoury is 51 years old, a graduate of Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, and holds an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs.
