Products and solutions of excellence
Expertise
Naval Group designs, builds, integrates, provides in-service support, dismantles and deconstructs submarines and surface ships. As industrial contractor, designer and overall integrator of whole warships and combat systems, it also offers a full range of services to naval bases and shipyards. In addition, the group offers a wide range of marine renewable energy solutions.
Naval defence is one of the major components of nation sovereignty. Navies must carry out prevention, protect a country’s interests, and ensure the projection of power and deterrence in increasingly unstable environments. In order to take on these sovereign missions, navies need naval forces capable of responding to multiple conventional friendly threats, and also asymmetric and cyber threats.
High technology
Naval Group is the European leader in naval defence. The group masters not only very high technology, but also has advanced and rare industrial expertise and a strong culture of innovation. Its first-rate production capacities are constantly being improved.

Unique positioning on the naval defence market
Integrating and managing complexity
As an integrator with high added value, the group relies on strategic industrial partnerships in France and abroad to manage very complex programs, wherever navies need them in order to be efficient and autonomous.

Support throughout the life cycle
Although Naval Group’s leadership is European, its expertise in all aspects of naval defence is recognised worldwide. Naval Group designs, builds, integrates, provides through-life support, dismantles and deconstructs submarines and surface ships.

Fleet integration and services
Naval Group designs and builds mission and combat systems, genuine nerve centres for whole warships, combat-proven by the French Navy. Fleet services, infrastructures and naval bases complete its offer as a leader in naval defence.

Our activities in the energy industry
Marine energy
Naval Group contributes to a low-carbon and environmentally-friendly energy, derived from the earth's most powerful source: the sea. Through its subsidiary Naval Energies, the group offers innovative solutions in two key areas of marine renewable energy:
• offshore wind energy;
• ocean thermal energy conversion.

Civil nuclear power
Using nuclear energy to combat climate change: this is the promise of the small modular NUWARD reactor, an innovative project conducted in partnership with TechnicAtome, EDF and the French Atomic Energy Agency (CEA - Commissariat à l’Énergie Atomique). Naval Group builds equipment and offers engineering and infrastructure project management services.
