Present in Australia since 2019 through its R&D activities, in 2021 Naval Group opened the Franco-Australian International Research Laboratory (IRL) Crossing in Adelaide, a collaborative enterprise between the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), Naval Group and leading academic partners.
IRL Crossing seeks to optimise the benefits of cross-fertilisation of scientific knowledge and industrial innovation, while pursuing a common research and development (R&D) strategy in the field of collaboration between humans and autonomous systems. IRL Crossing is also a vehicle for coordinating funding opportunities and collaborative research partnerships.
