Innovating for our customers, with our partners

Naval Group is currently engaged in around a hundred innovation projects developed in partnership with start-ups, research institutes and manufacturers.
On an international scale, Naval Group contributes most notably to several structuring projects in the fields of underwater warfare, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity as part of the European Defence Fund.

Going faster, together

Our customers depend on reactivity to ensure their superiority in theatres of operation. This urgency requires us to innovate quickly and competitively. To meet this challenge, Naval Group’s approach encompasses its employees, its customers, players in the defence technological and industrial base (DTIB) and the most advanced small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and tech start-ups.

The aim is to join forces with the best players, identify technology from the civilian world and combine their contributions with Naval Group’s detailed knowledge of naval defence and sailors’ needs.

At Naval Group, we constantly endeavour to accelerate innovation and anticipate future needs, conceiving disruptive innovations thanks to our network of specialised laboratories, such as the Naval Innovation Hub (NIH) and the Open Labs. These help to spread a culture of experimentation through the rapid and frugal prototyping of innovative solutions.

We also encourage intrapreneurship to cultivate a spirit of initiative and creativity within the group, as well as to set out and conquer new horizons.
